Het Andere Wonen Milsbeek

A welcoming community for residential care

In partnership with Het Andere Wonen and Van Schijndel Bouwgroep, Lister Buildings is developing a residential care complex in the Dutch town of Milsbeek. People with dementia comprise part of the target group. Homes for these residents are being designed to suit their particular needs. There will also be a shared sitting room and an assisted living section.

Community concept

The layout of the complex underlines Het Andere Wonen’s concept of a community in which couples can grow old together. Special emphasis is placed on shared outdoor space. A first-floor gallery will surround a communal garden, linking all the homes, and will be of a generous width, creating terraces. A central enclosed garden will enable residents to meet in green surroundings.
